Hello, my name is Sheryl Fairchild and I was wondering if I could have permission to use the above photo to put into the 7th edition of my textbook, Principles and Techniques of Patient Care? I would gladly give your company credit, e.g. (Courtesy of Delaware Integrative Healthcare)
I am not aware of any studies which have shown that to occur. I am an Advanced Certified Graston practitioner for the past 10 years and have not seen any harmful effect like that. It is important that it be performed by a qualified professional.
We frequently use Graston technique for muscle pain and dysfunction post neck surgery. It is safe and effective as long as it is performed by a skilled practitioner.

Yes, that would be fine.
Can scraping too hard/deeply cause microtears in healthy fascia, and thus more scar tissue build up?
